LEADERSHIP

Madhatter Knits Foundation, Founding President (2014 - Present)

  • Founder of 501c(3) non-profit dedicated to promoting support to those families who go through the NICU journey and the help of volunteers, beanies are donated to preemies in the NICU

  • Educate, raise awareness, and teach members how to knit beanies for the preemies 

  • Expanded Madhatter Knits' presence to 43 states and 18+ countries, demonstrating effective leadership and organizational management of over 2100 members to date

  • Lead movement campaign towards Senior Mental Health, culminating 320+ senior members and expanding to senior centers internationally

  • Pioneered the initiation of a male leadership program within Madhatter Knits, promoting diversity and inclusivity

  • Created nonprofit programs for employee service learning at companies like Nvidia and Yahoo

iMatter Foundation, Founding President (2021-Present)

  • Founded community organization dedicated to create opportunities for communities to promote education, awareness and understanding, and reduce stigma about mental health

  • Organized a 3-year annual art contest and virtual art exhibits featuring a theme aimed at advocating for mental health awareness.

  • Presented presentations and seminars collaborating with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) to help LA County residents

  • Display booths at 8+ event fairs to promote mental health

  • Collaborating with mental health specialists, art therapy specialists, and professionals to advocate mental health awareness
     

Westridge Honor Council, Founding Chair

  • Participated in a panel that debriefed about experiences & discussed a strategic plan to increase integrity and compassion on campus

  • Facilitated meetings with campus faculty to discuss the importance of restorative practices in our school

  • Lead, plan, and provide safe weekly meetings on campus for those who identify as Taiwanese

Bloom App, Creator (2023 – Present)

  • Developed a senior center virtual mobile app that can play a pivotal role in enriching the lives of senior citizens

  • The mission of this app is to combat senior social isolation by providing learning opportunities and mental stimulation as well as an outlet for the elderly to engage with each other virtually

  • Presented to 30+ developers from NASA JPL, Google, Snapchat, Tesla, etc.

  • Received recognition from Congresswoman Judy Chu and Ignite CS Expo

iMatter App, Creator (2021 – Present)

  • Finalist out of 1,700 apps and 5,400 participants in Technovation Girls 2021

  • Developed a mobile app to strengthen teen’s mental health, raising awareness of teen depression and anxiety. Self-care and coping mechanisms are provided to help teens strategize in dealing with stress and anxiety

  • Promoted at Take Action for LA Mental Health campaign booths by the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health, Resilience in Action Summit Conference, Tzu Chi Compassion in Action Fair, Taiwanese American Heritage Week Festival

Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), Junior Ambassador (2016-Present)

  • Planned various fundraising events to raise awareness on pediatric health issues

  • Raised $15,000+ per year for Action Day FundraiserDonated 3 Go-Karts to serve patients at the hospital (2017)
